From the Pastor
As a mother of two school-aged children and a young adult, I understand busy. I know how hard it can be to make time for one more thing, especially when that additional thing seems optional.
As a 21st-century person, I can also relate to the need for a sense of direction. My family pulls me one way, my profession another, and we are rarely given a moment when someone or something isn‘t trying to sell us the next product or idea to make our lives perfect.
At Auburn First United Methodist Church, we believe that no matter where you come from, what you look like, how old you might be, who you might choose to love, and in spite of any questions and doubts you may have, you are a beloved child of God.
As a faith community, we respond to God‘s love for us by loving God and loving people so that the world we share might be a better one.
From that shared foundation, we journey together to discover purpose, meaning, and a sense of direction that isn‘t another passing product. We aren‘t perfect, but we choose to extend grace and help each other along the way.
I hope you‘ll visit and walk a few miles alongside us to see if we are heading in a direction that brings you life. Until then, may God bless you on your journey.
Blessings,
Pastor Cara
