WHAT IS YOUR WORSHIP SERVICE LIKE?
We have two worship services on Sunday mornings:

Chapel Service at 8:00am
In this intimate interactive service, participants will pray for one another, read Scripture, and reflect on the text together. This service can be attended either in person or on Zoom.

Sanctuary Service 10:30am
During this in person service, the pastor will offer a lesson (or sermon) based on Scripture and their reflections on current events. Participants will sing music from traditional hymns or more contemporary pieces of music, depending on the week.

CHILDREN & YOUTH GROUPS
Children and youth ages 5-18 are welcome to attend our Sunday School class during our sanctuary worship. For more info on these classes visit our Children & Youth page.

Your little ones are welcomed to remain in the sanctuary with us for the duration of the service—see an Usher if they would like a drawing pad or fidget toy.

Additionally, we do have Youth Group gatherings that meet outside of service time (check out our Children & Youth page for more info).

WILL I HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING; SIGN ANYTHING?
While you will be greeted and welcomed one-on-one, you won’t be put on the spot or publicly embarrassed. A Connection Card will be in your bulletin (a paper handout outlining the service) where you can give us as much or as little information as you’d like.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We invite you to come as you are, whether you are visiting for the first time or the hundredth. Casual or more formal: you decide. We want you to feel at home!

CAN I PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNION?
If you happen to join us on a Sunday when we are participating in communion, know that at Auburn First UMC, communion is open to all who want to take part!

Feel free to file out with the others in your pew toward the center aisle, receive the bread and grape juice, and consume it as you take the side aisle back to your seat.

ARE YOUR FACILITIES HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE?
Yes! The entire church is one level and our restrooms are accessible to all.

AM I GOING TO BE EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY?
Absolutely not! We all give in a variety of ways; some through our prayers, presence, gifts, service, or witness.

During the 10:30 service, there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship for our members and friends, allowing them to share in the church's ministry to the community of Auburn First and the world. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give.
